Lexington Prep School offers a pre-admission program for international students soon to be attending a private school in the United States. Schools outside of the U.S. often end the school year in the Spring, some as early as March. This allows a student starting at an American school the opportunity to prepare prior to the start of school. Depending on each student's needs, Lexington Prep School offers a customized program from one to six months in length.
Academic Program:
Students enrolled in our pre-admission program will be prepared for the academic and personal demands placed on international students at American schools. This program will incude intensive English writing and critical reading and American history. Students may also choose additional subjects that will be studied in the coming school year.
Accommodations:
Separate boys and girls dormitories are located in individual building wings and monitored by 24 hour security staff. Each high school student will stay in a dorm room equipped with a private bathroom and middle school students will be housed in two person rooms with a private bathroom. LPS also features a full service kitchen that will provide three nutritious meals each day, music and exercise rooms, and library. Finally, full transportation service is provided for all students including transportation to and from the day school and weekend excursions.
Guardian:
Each student will be assigned a guardian who will be responsible for overseeing the student's overall quality of life while at Lexington Prep. He/she will maintain close contact with LPS dormitory staff and instructors. The guardian will also communicate with parents on a weekly basis.
